  • It is now easier than ever to experience these exceptional sites and play the best golf in your life

  • Mexico boasts an exceptional geography. Where else in the world can you find splendid sandy beaches and snowy mountain peaks, deserts and luscious jungles in one single country?

This unique location has proved very inspirational for golf course designers. In fact the greatest names in golf designs have left their mark in Mexico over the last decades. Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones Jr., Robert Von Hagge are only a few of the great signatures behind the gems that you can find all over the country.

This month's newsletter takes you along for a tour of the best golf courses Mexico has to offer, whether they are near beach resorts or in the northern desert landscape. When it comes to golfing vacations, variety is key and Mexico beckons.
Many of the best-known championship level golf courses in Mexico are located near or affiliated with high-end resorts. This makes them able to offer great package deal where visitors can enjoy both the beachside leisure activities and fairway fun.

However, some of the excellent golf courses of inner Mexico are like well-kept secrets cherished by the locals. The courses included here rank among those top-quality destinations found in areas less frequented by the tourist crowd.

Over the past decade, the golf tourism market in Mexico has been developing at a skyrocketing pace. Mexico is now second only to Hawaii when it comes to the number of US golf tourists it receives. The Canadian market -with the most golfers per capita in the world- is obviously another very interesting audience of golf connoisseurs.
Greater Mexico City Area: the calmest spots near the metropolis

Golfing might not be the first thing coming to mind when one thinks about gigantic Mexico City. However, as one of the largest cities in the world, it literally has something for everyone.

Whether in the Greater Mexico City area for business or vacation, a golfing escape is a great way to free your mind from the bustle of this vibrant metropolis. And here is the best part: some of the best grounds in the country are located right outside the capital, within a 90min. driving range from downtown. Although many clubs in this area are reserved to their sole members, the courses listed here are opened to visitors. Be prepared to experience the finest in fairways, in the mountainous scenery of the Valley of Mexico.

Though all the following courses are within reach for a one-day golf outing, many offer medium-to-long term accommodations, such as condos and apartments which are available for those who want to enjoy a longer golf vacation.

Moreover, the booming real estate market in Mexico offers plenty of opportunities for business. Canadian investors are welcomed with open arms by the locals, and will experience the renowned Mexican hospitality.
